REMINDER: St. Stephen’s will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2024, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

As we launch into 2024, St. Stephen’s Families are invited to attend the State of SSESH Address by Dr. Troy Roddy, Head of School, on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 5:00 pm.

Be inspired by plans for the 2024-25 academic year and meet and mingle with other SSESH families. Light refreshments will be served. Childcare will be provided during the State of SSESH Address to those who RSVP (below) by January 23.
Following the State of SSESH Address, families are invited to visit our classrooms during the Spring Open House. Children are welcome in the classrooms, and students moving up to the next level in 2024-25 are especially invited to explore the classroom and ask questions.

Celebrating Our 2023 Annual Fund

While we leave 2023 behind, we would be remiss if we did not celebrate the many triumphs we accomplished together through your partnership. 100% of our Board of Trustees, 100% of our faculty and staff and over 50% of our families gave to the Annual Fund. Overall, we received 90% of our goal during 2023!

As we reminisce on the accomplishments of 2023, we do not want to lose sight of the work that still needs to be done. Currently, the Annual Fund needs just over $14,000 to reach goal. Will you partner more in 2024 to ensure we can make visible changes and improvements to our student programs, campus, and provide training and continuing education needs for our faculty and staff?

As you plan your gifts, please mark your calendars now for these upcoming Annual Fund associated events:

Summer Camp Registration OPENS January 19!

The goal of Orientation Summer Camp is to provide continuity in the Orientation community. Each session features a special focus taught within the Montessori class environment. Children build relationships with teachers and friends, enjoy outdoor play, and develop skills.

Primary Summer Camp is designed to foster an appreciation of the natural world and to encourage interest and wonder. Each session will involve outside academic and creative opportunities. Games, crafts, experiments, stories, dance, and practical life lessons are included in our camp experience. Reading and math lessons continue during the summer session to curb skill regression and to build new skills for the school year.

Bulldog Compliments

At St. Stephen’s, we have an easy way for anyone in the St. Stephen’s community to show their appreciation for a faculty, staff, or leadership team member. We call it sending a “Bulldog Compliment.”

Here is how it works. Click the Send A Bulldog Compliment image and follow the prompts. It only takes a few clicks, and you are done.

All compliments are anonymous and will be sent to the person (or persons) you choose to recognize. There is no limit to how many you can send, so be as generous as you wish!
