St. Stephen’s Episcopal School Houston is excited to partner with a variety of summer camps that will be using our campus this summer! While these camps are independently operated and not run by St. Stephen’s, we are proud to provide a welcoming space for their programs. This partnership allows families to explore diverse and engaging summer opportunities while enjoying the convenience of our campus.
Creator Camp
June 2nd – August 1st
We’re excited to host Creator Camp, where kids ages 6-13 can unleash their creativity through hands-on experiences in animation, filmmaking, video content creation, music production, and game design! This innovative camp empowers young creators to bring their ideas to life using industry-leading tools and technology—all while having a blast in a collaborative and inspiring environment.
The Knight School
July 7th – July 11th
Get ready for a super-fun, high-energy chess experience like no other! At The Knight School Chess Camp, kids will celebrate a new chess tactic each day through silly videos, music-driven puzzles with prizes, colorful silicone TactixBands, funny movies, and fast-paced party-bead tournaments! Laughter, exciting game play, and engaging teaching methods make this camp the ultimate summertime highlight for kids nationwide. Each session introduces a new chess opening and a fantastic classroom game that will bond the camp groups in a way that’s never been done before! Checkmate—fun is guaranteed!
Narrative Fiction and Documentary Filmmaking Camps
July 7th – July 25th
Explore the exciting world of filmmaking and bring your story to the screen!
Choose from two distinct filmmaking camps led by dedicated instructors: Join Bri Guerrero, professional film art director, to write and produce an original movie in the Narrative Fiction Filmmaking Camp, July 7-12, for ages 9-12, or learn documentary storytelling, featuring inspiring field trips with Kids TV producer Dan Gordon in theDocumentary Filmmaking Camp, July 14-25 (Mon-Fri), for ages 12-14.
With access to professional-grade film equipment, campers will have the opportunity to become writers, directors, designers, and actors in the films they create. Both camps offer a hands-on experience and end with a film premiere for friends and family.
