Upcoming Events

📝 IOWA Assessments: March 24-28, 2025
From March 24-28, 2025, St. Stephen’s will administer the IOWA Assessments to students in 2nd–8th grade. While Montessori education does not emphasize traditional testing, these assessments provide valuable insights into student progress and achievement in core subjects.
To help your child feel their best during testing:
✅ Ensure they get plenty of rest
✅ Provide a nutritious breakfast
✅ Pack a healthy mid-morning snack
At St. Stephen’s, we approach standardized tests as one of many tools to observe student growth over time. We encourage a positive mindset, using results to support and strengthen learning—not to create stress. Thank you for helping us foster a confident and prepared testing environment!

Middle Years Grand Canyon Adventure – April 1-4
Our Middle Years students are preparing for an unforgettable four-day adventure to the Grand Canyon, where they will explore breathtaking landscapes, engage in hands-on learning experiences, and challenge themselves through outdoor activities. From hiking in Sedona to floating down the Colorado River, this trip is designed to inspire curiosity, teamwork, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
Stay tuned for updates and photos from the trip!

🌿 Campus Beautification - Saturday, April 5th! 🌱
Join us for a morning of giving back—to our campus!
Help refresh and revitalize our outdoor spaces by raking, weeding, planting, watering, and scrubbing. This is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to take pride in their school environment and work together to make a visible difference. Many hands make light work!
Let’s roll up our sleeves and grow something beautiful together.

Refresh & Reuse: PTO Clothing Swap 👕
Spring clean your closets and refresh your child’s wardrobe at the PTO Clothing Swap! Bring gently used children’s clothing and shoes your family has outgrown to Pecore Hall during the Campus Beautification Event.
Sort your donations by size on the labeled tables, then feel free to browse and take home anything that fits your needs. It’s a great way to recycle, share, and connect with our school community.
All leftover items will be donated to a local charity. Let’s swap and support together!

🌟 All-School Playground Meetup – Saturday, April 12th! 🌟
Join us on Saturday, April 12th, from 9:00-11:00 AM for a fun and welcoming All-School Playground Meetup! This is a special opportunity for our entire school community to come together to play, connect, and meet new friends—including our newest students joining us next year!
Let’s make this a warm and inviting event for all—wear your SSESH spirit t-shirts and help us show our new families what makes our community so special. We can’t wait to see you there! 💜
Welcome, Baby Mabel!

We are overjoyed to share the wonderful news that Ms. Jen, our Middle School Humanities teacher, and her family have welcomed a beautiful new addition! Baby Mabel made her grand entrance into the world on March 18th at 12:54 PM, weighing 7 lbs 10 oz and measuring 20 inches long.
As Ms. Jen and her family embark on this exciting new chapter, we celebrate with them and send our warmest wishes for love, laughter, and endless sweet snuggles. Welcoming a new baby is such a special time, and we know big sibling duties will be filled with love and excitement!
Please join us in congratulating Ms. Jen and her family on the arrival of precious baby Mabel—we can’t wait to meet the newest member of our St. Stephen’s community!
Primary Celebrates Holi!

Our Primary students had an absolute blast celebrating Holi, the Festival of Colors! Laughter and joy filled the air as children threw vibrant powdered colors, embracing the spirit of love, unity, and new beginnings that this beautiful Indian tradition represents.
A special thank you to the Sharma family for helping make this day unforgettable—your generosity and enthusiasm brought this celebration to life! From learning about the festival’s meaning to joyfully immersing ourselves in color, it was truly a day to remember.
Here’s to celebrating culture, connection, and community—one bright color at a time!

Bulldog Compliments
At St. Stephen’s, we have an easy way for anyone in the St. Stephen’s community to show their appreciation for a faculty, staff, or leadership team member. We call it sending a “Bulldog Compliment.”
Here is how it works. Click the Send A Bulldog Compliment image and follow the prompts. It only takes a few clicks, and you are done.
All compliments are anonymous and will be sent to the person (or persons) you choose to recognize. There is no limit to how many you can send, so be as generous as you wish!
