Upcoming Events
A Part of Our Parent Education Series
Join us on Saturday, September 21st, from 8:30-11:30 am for a hands-on journey of discovery as we explore the Montessori program at St. Stephen’s, from Orientation to Middle Years. Step into each classroom as if you were an incoming student, gaining a deeper understanding of our unique approach to learning. Begin by observing the thoughtfully designed environments and materials at each level. Then, actively engage with these materials, experiencing firsthand how they shape the holistic educational journey we offer.
Afterward, we’ll gather to reflect, share insights, and discuss your experience.
Childcare is available for currently enrolled St. Stephen’s students to ensure your full immersion. Please RSVP to lnewchurch@ssesh.org to secure childcare. We look forward to sharing this enlightening experience with you!
All School Chapel
Join us for our next All School Chapel on September 18th at 8:30 am, where we will celebrate International Peace Day with a special theme of peace and unity. As part of the Pinwheels for Peace project, students have been working in their art classes to create pinwheels, expressing their thoughts and feelings about the world around them. At the conclusion of the service, students will place their pinwheels in the Church Garden, creating a beautiful art installation for our community.
Pinwheels for Peace was started in 2005 by art teachers Ann Ayers and Ellen McMillan as a way for students to reflect on the world and their personal experiences. We look forward to seeing our students’ creative expressions of peace!

We encourage our current families to invite friends to experience St. Stephen’s firsthand by attending one of our upcoming campus tours! It’s a great opportunity for prospective families to learn about our school, explore our classrooms, and discover what makes our community special.

Upper El. Fall Trip
From October 2-4, our Upper Elementary students will embark on an exciting three-day trip to Nature’s Classroom! This outdoor adventure will give them the chance to explore, learn, and bond with their classmates while immersing themselves in hands-on environmental activities. It’s sure to be an unforgettable experience!
Celebrating Community: A Joyous Block Party Success!
We are thrilled to share the success of our recent Church and School Block Party! With over 200 people in attendance, the event was a wonderful gathering of current school families, alumni, church parishioners, and neighbors. It was heartwarming to see everyone enjoying the delicious food, lively games, and vibrant music. The sense of community and connection was truly special, reminding us of the strength and warmth of our extended family. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers, staff, and organizers who made this event possible. Your support and dedication helped create an unforgettable experience, and we can’t wait to continue building memories together!
Stay Connected with Seesaw
We encourage all parents to download the SeeSaw app and turn on notifications! SeeSaw is where you can stay up-to-date with your child’s weekly activities through videos and photos shared by classroom teachers. It’s also the place for important school announcements and reminders to keep you in the loop.
Additionally, parent chat groups by level have been created to help you connect with other families and continue building our SSESH community. Make sure you’re all set with SeeSaw to stay on top of everything happening at SSESH!
For any questions regarding accessing Seesaw, please email Miguel Zuniga (mzuniga@ssesh.org).

Bulldog Compliments
At St. Stephen’s, we have an easy way for anyone in the St. Stephen’s community to show their appreciation for a faculty, staff, or leadership team member. We call it sending a “Bulldog Compliment.”
Here is how it works. Click the Send A Bulldog Compliment image and follow the prompts. It only takes a few clicks, and you are done.
All compliments are anonymous and will be sent to the person (or persons) you choose to recognize. There is no limit to how many you can send, so be as generous as you wish!
