WHAT TO BRING TO SCHOOL
Orientation 1 with Ms. Courtney Schaffner
Please send your child to school with the following items (labeled with your child’s full name):
- 3 sets of clothing (no onesies and season appropriate);*
- Underwear and/or diapers;
- Diaper cream if child is in diapers;
- 2 packages of baby wipes if child is in diapers;
- 2 pairs of socks;
- 1 reusable water bottles (12-16 ounces);
- A nutritious snack for the morning;
- A nutritious lunch (if applicable);
- A nutritious snack for after lunch (if applicable);
- 1 current 4×6 picture of your child for their hook – new students only;
- 1 current 5×7 picture of your child for their cubby – new students only;
- 1 nontoxic houseplant for the classroom
- Please no backpacks. Children need to be able to carry their own lunch bag, so please make sure it is size appropriate and not too heavy
Orientation 2 with Ms. Emma Waxley
Please send the following items labeled with your child’s full name:
- 3 sets of clothing, including socks
- Diapers
- 1 leakproof, reusable, sealable water bottle
- A morning snack
- A lunch (if applicable)
- A snack for After Care (if applicable – After Care snacks should be prepackaged or sealed in a Ziploc bag)
- 1 current family photo to display in the environment
- 1 current picture of your child, emailed to Mrs. Emma W.
- 1 low-light, nontoxic houseplant for the classroom

- A backpack large enough to fit the above items and work to be sent home.
Primary 2 with Ms. Alyssa Brown
Please send your child to school with the following items (labeled with your child’s full name):
- Three (3) full sets of clothing (weather appropriate);
- One set of extra shoes (weather appropriate);
- A water bottle filled with water;
- A nutritious snack for the morning;
- A nutritious lunch that includes protein, fruit, vegetables, and water (no candy, cookies, or juice) (if applicable);
- A nutritious snack for After Care (if applicable); and
- A backpack large enough to fit the above items and work to be sent home.
Primary 3 with Ms. Elsa Greer
Please send your child to school with the following items (labeled with your child’s full name):
- Three (3) full sets of clothing for 1st-year students and One (1) full set for 2nd-year and Kindergarten students;
- A water bottle filled with water;
- A nutritious snack for the morning;
- A nutritious lunch that includes protein, fruit, vegetables, milk or water (no candy, cookies, or juice) (if applicable);
- A nutritious snack for After Care (if applicable); and
- A backpack large enough to fit the above items and work to be sent home.
Elementary (1st – 6th grade)
In Lower Elementary, you need not worry about getting school supplies. We provide your child with all classroom materials. The only things your child does need to bring from home are a lunch kit (with a cloth placemat, cloth napkin, and silverware), a reusable water bottle, and a backpack.
Middle Years (7th and 8th grade)
We will provide all textbooks, consumables, and any items needed for set up in each class. However, some additional supplies are needed. While some supplies may stay at school, others will come home daily.
Please provide the following:
Daily:
- Water bottle
- A nutritious* snack
- A nutritious* lunch
- A backpack
- TI-83 Plus Scientific Calculator for pre-algebra & algebra (battery powered only)
- Proper gym attire & shoes for P.E.
For the first day:
- House shoes (slippers)
- A terracotta pot (the size is your choice!)
* At this fragile stage in development, adolescents need mindful guidance on nutrition. With this in mind, we have policies for the CoHo community in regard to food and drinks. Students are not permitted to have energy drinks, sodas, or sugary drinks at school. Additionally, students are not allowed candy or sugary foods. We also sincerelyencourage avoiding foods with food dye.
