HELLO FROM THE PTO

Greetings St. Stephen’s families,

A warm welcome to all of the new and returning families, teachers and staff joining us for the 2023-2024 year! I hope you and your family have enjoyed a refreshing summer with time together and are ready to get back into the swing of things as school begins later this month.

The St. Stephen’s Episcopal School PTO (SSESH PTO) has already been working on some plans for an excellent year and we want to be sure that everyone in our community feels welcome to join in the fun! We often say that “PTO” doesn’t stop at Parents and Teachers; if you are part of the St. Stephen’s family – parents, grandparents, faculty and staff, and extended family – we welcome you to join us and be a part of the SSESH PTO.

The purpose of the SSESH PTO is to support the educational experience at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School and to build an engaged school community.

You’ll hear from us about meetups for families at local parks and businesses where you can play with friends off campus, as well as occasional morning meet ups called “PTO Breakfast club” where you can simply grab a cup of coffee and get to know some other members of the school community. The PTO hosts two annual service projects, one each semester, to encourage families to reach out and engage their communities to help our neighbors in need. The PTO also works throughout the school year to show appreciation for our amazing teachers and staff who keep our kiddos engaged, learning and growing during the school day and beyond. We even get our hands dirty working together on Campus Beautification Days!

The SSESH PTO aims to meet each community member where they are. We understand that with family commitments, extracurriculars and outside interests each individual only has so much discretionary time or funds to make available for this sort of involvement. It is for this reason that we do not have annual dues, attendance or hour commitment requirements for membership. Among all of the social and service opportunities throughout the year, we hope you will find opportunities for engagement for you and your family.

We encourage you to reach out to us via email ([email protected]), at one of our meetups or around campus so that we can get to know you! We’ll work closely with room parents to be sure everyone is aware of any upcoming PTO events and you can find updates from us in the hallway as well as on the seesaw platform.

Together with the PTO board parents, along with our newly installed Head of School, I invite you to get involved and get to know your SSESH Community. It is our honor to serve as the PTO leadership for the 2023-2024 school year, we welcome you and cannot wait to get to know you!

Sincerely,

Allison Kellogg, PTO President

Leslie Delcid, PTO Vice President

Luis Rivera, PTO Treasurer

Ann Avants, PTO Communications Secretary

Chevonne Greaser, PTO Past President

YOU ARE INVITED
