CoHo Market: Student Creations for a Cause

Support our Middle Years entrepreneurs at the CoHo Market! Students have been hard at work designing and creating original products for the St. Stephen’s community, and their creations will be available for purchase at Baccalaureate Moving Up Chapel, 8th Grade Graduation, and throughout the week of South By St. Stephen’s (SXSS).

All proceeds will benefit Justice for Children, a charity thoughtfully selected by the students. We invite you to stop by, celebrate their creativity and initiative, and support this student-led microeconomy for a meaningful cause.

Magnus Health Update for 2026–2027

Magnus is now open for the 2026–2027 school year. We encourage all families to take a few minutes to complete and update their student’s information before leaving for summer break. Taking care of this now helps ensure a smooth and stress-free start in the fall.

Thank you for staying on top of it.

An Evening of Joy and Generosity

Our Gala was a true reflection of this community—joyful, generous, and full of connection. From the moment guests arrived to the final song on the dance floor, the evening was filled with celebration, laughter, and a shared commitment to something bigger than ourselves.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported the event, donated, volunteered, and helped bring the night to life. Because of you, we are thrilled to share that the Gala raised nearly $150,000, with over $60,000 specifically supporting Fund-A-Scholar. Your generosity directly impacts the experiences, opportunities, and sense of belonging that make St. Stephen’s so special.

We are especially grateful for the spirit of togetherness that was felt throughout the evening. Events like this are not just about fundraising—they are about strengthening the connections that make our community so meaningful.

If you missed this year’s Gala, it is not too late to support students for the 2026–2027 school year through Fund-A-Scholar. You can give here.

A few special experiences are also still available here:

  • Orientation Saturday Morning Off (May 16) – $100
  • Lower Elementary “Monster Art Experience” Mini Painting Lesson (July 25) – $30
  • Lower Elementary “Robot Makers Workshop” Mini Sculpture Lesson (August 1) – $30

We had such a fun night celebrating with all of you and are already looking forward to what next year will bring.

The Installation of Reverend Carissa Baldwin-McGinns

Join St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church for a special and meaningful moment in the life of the church community as they celebrate the installation of Reverend Carissa Baldwin-McGinnis.

In the Episcopal Church, an installation is a formal service in which a priest is officially welcomed and established as the spiritual leader of a parish. It marks the beginning of a new chapter, affirming the shared ministry between clergy and congregation.

This service will be celebrated by the Rt. Rev. C. Andrew Doyle, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, and is a beautiful expression of community, commitment, and faith.

Celebrating Those Who Inspire

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up (May 4–8), and we’re excited to celebrate the teachers who care for and nurture our youngest students each day. We have a simple and meaningful plan for the week, and we’d love for your family to participate in two easy ways: on Tuesday, each child is invited to bring a flower to help create a class bouquet for their teachers; and on Thursday, we invite your child to write a note or draw a picture, with the option for you to add a short message of appreciation. In addition, teachers will be treated throughout the week with a coffee bar on Monday, lunch provided by Room Parents on Wednesday, and donuts on Friday.

A Schoolwide Celebration of Growth

Our Baccalaureate and Moving Up Service will take place at 8:30 AM in The Nave and is one of our most meaningful school traditions.  This special service is a time to reflect, give thanks, celebrate growth at all levels, and honor our 8th-grade graduates. It also recognizes all students as they move forward into the next level.

Students should dress nicely for the occasion (slacks, dresses, skirts, or button-ups are perfect), and they are welcome to bring a change of clothes for later in the day.

Final Conferences of the Year

Our final round of conferences will take place on Friday, May 15. Teachers will send out sign-up links approximately one week in advance so you can select a time that works best for your family. As a reminder, students in 1st grade and above are expected to attend their conference alongside a parent or guardian. We look forward to this important time to reflect on each student’s growth and celebrate the year together.

8th Grade Graduation

We invite our entire community to join us on Friday, May 15, at 6:00 PM in The Nave as we celebrate our 8th-grade graduates and this important milestone in their journey. This special evening honors their growth, accomplishments, and the leadership they have brought to our school community. It is both a celebration and a meaningful moment of reflection as they prepare to take their next steps beyond St. Stephen’s. All families are welcome to attend, and students in 6th and 7th grade are strongly encouraged to attend to support and celebrate their peers.

Our School's Talent Show

Join us at 6pm on Tuesday, May 19th in The Nave. A long-standing SSESH tradition, Coffee House is our annual student talent show and a joyful celebration of creativity and confidence. It is always a highlight of the year for both performers and audience members. To sign up for a performance slot, please use this form: https://ssesh.org/2026-coffee-house/

Bulldog Compliments

At St. Stephen’s, we have an easy way for anyone in the St. Stephen’s community to show their appreciation for a faculty, staff, or leadership team member. We call it sending a “Bulldog Compliment.”

Here is how it works. Click the Send A Bulldog Compliment image and follow the prompts. It only takes a few clicks, and you are done.

All compliments are anonymous and will be sent to the person (or persons) you choose to recognize. There is no limit to how many you can send, so be as generous as you wish!
