Our School App is LIVE!

With our new FACTS Family Custom app, you’ll have access to our calendar, directory, school store and more right at your fingertips! Just go to Apple’s App Store or the Google Play Store – depending on your device type – and search for “St. Stephen’s Episcopal School” or “SSESH”.

This app will give our families better access to the information they need most and we’re excited to offer it! Questions? Please contact Miguel Zuniga at Mzuniga@ssesh.org.

A Part of Our Parent Education Series

Join us on Saturday, September 21st, from 8:30-11:30 am for a hands-on journey of discovery as we explore the Montessori program at St. Stephen’s, from Orientation to Middle Years. Step into each classroom as if you were an incoming student, gaining a deeper understanding of our unique approach to learning. Begin by observing the thoughtfully designed environments and materials at each level. Then, actively engage with these materials, experiencing firsthand how they shape the holistic educational journey we offer. Afterward, we’ll gather to reflect, share insights, and discuss your experience.

It’s sure to be an unforgettable experience!

SSESH Book Fair at Barnes & Noble!

Join us on Tuesday, October 8th, from 3:00-7:00 pm at the River Oaks Barnes & Noble for our SSESH Book Fair! Stop by anytime during that window to support our school and teachers. Every homeroom and specialist teacher has a wishlist for their classroom, and there will be tables for each level with books you can purchase and dedicate with a special sticker from your child. Plus, Barnes & Noble will donate a portion of the day’s proceeds back to SSESH for any books or café items you buy for yourself—just mention St. Stephen’s at checkout. We hope to see you there!

Get Ready for SSESH Spirit Week!

Join us as we celebrate Episcopal Schools Week with our exciting SSESH Spirit Week! Each day has a fun dress-up theme:

  • Tuesday: Book Character Day (Don’t forget to stop by our Book Fair at Barnes & Noble!)
  • Wednesday: Rainbow Day
  • Thursday: SSESH Spirit Day

Let’s show our school spirit and enjoy a week full of creativity and fun! After Thursday, enjoy a long four-day weekend for Fall Break. We can’t wait to see everyone’s outfits!

Pinwheels for Peace: A Celebration of Peace and Unity

This week, our students came together for our special Pinwheels for Peace project and chapel. Each student, guided by Ms. Margie, created a pinwheel as a symbol of peace, which they then planted in our church and school garden. During the chapel service, themed around peace, students sat with their buddies and participated in a beautiful blend of music and liturgy, celebrating harmony and unity.

As Maria Montessori said, “Establishing lasting peace is the work of education.” This project is a reflection of who we are at SSESH—nurturing peace and kindness in every student, and in turn, the world. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this meaningful event to life!

STEAM Parent Ed. Night

Thank You for Attending Our First Parent Education Night!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Parent Education Night of the year focused on STEAM! If you weren’t able to attend, you can catch the full presentation by clicking this link.

Bulldog Compliments

At St. Stephen’s, we have an easy way for anyone in the St. Stephen’s community to show their appreciation for a faculty, staff, or leadership team member. We call it sending a “Bulldog Compliment.”

Here is how it works. Click the Send A Bulldog Compliment image and follow the prompts. It only takes a few clicks, and you are done.

All compliments are anonymous and will be sent to the person (or persons) you choose to recognize. There is no limit to how many you can send, so be as generous as you wish!
