Pinwheels for Peace

This week, our entire school community gathered for Pinwheels for Peace, a beautiful tradition centered on peace, kindness, and the difference each of us can make in our community. Students created their own pinwheels, joined together for All-School Chapel, and then “planted” them throughout the garden as a colorful reminder to carry peace into the world through our words, choices, and actions.

We loved seeing students of all ages come together for such a meaningful morning — and watching our campus fill with hundreds of spinning symbols of peace.

SSESH Forward! Update

We’re moving forward! This week, SSESH Forward! has reached $83,716—39% of our $215,000 goal—with 26% overall parent participation. LE3 is leading the way at 50% participation, with LE1 and Middle Years close behind at 44%.

And don’t forget: every class that reaches 75% participation earns a snowcone party! Every gift counts toward your class total!

Corporate matches can double your gift! Please check whether your company matches employee giving—it’s an easy way to make your support go even further.

Questions or need assistance with your gift or pledge? Contact the Development Department at development@ssesh.org or 713.821.9111.

Auction Fun Lives On

Some of the fun from last spring’s Gala auction is still showing up around SSESH!

Recently, the Passone-Parsinejad family headed to an Astros game with Clara and fellow SSESH student Bren—representing SSESH at the ballpark! And this week, we welcomed Nurse Mila, one of our Lower Elementary students, who got to spend the day alongside Nurse Christie after her family won our Nurse for a Day auction experience.

Thank you to everyone who donated experiences and items to last year’s auction—and to everyone who bid! These special moments are such a fun reminder of the community that makes our Gala so meaningful.

And since we’re talking Gala… we’ll let you in on a little secret: we have a date! Save Saturday, May 1, 2027. Stay tuned for your chance to help choose this year’s theme—and start wondering what auction surprises might be waiting this time around!

Bulldog Compliments

At St. Stephen’s, we have an easy way for anyone in the St. Stephen’s community to show their appreciation for a faculty, staff, or leadership team member. We call it sending a “Bulldog Compliment.”

Here is how it works. Click the Send A Bulldog Compliment image and follow the prompts. It only takes a few clicks, and you are done.

All compliments are anonymous and will be sent to the person (or persons) you choose to recognize. There is no limit to how many you can send, so be as generous as you wish!
