At St. Stephen’s, we believe that learning thrives when students feel safe, supported, and well. That’s why we take a holistic approach to student wellness—one that nurtures physical health, emotional growth, and academic success.

Our dedicated wellness team works closely with teachers, students, and families to ensure that every child’s needs are met with care and compassion.

Full-Time School Nurse

Our licensed school nurse is available throughout the day to care for students’ health needs—whether it’s managing a chronic condition, addressing minor injuries, or offering comfort and reassurance. The nurse also partners with families to support health plans and promote healthy habits.

Our counselor supports students’ social and emotional well-being through classroom guidance, small groups, and one-on-one check-ins. Whether helping with peer relationships, emotional regulation, or big transitions, the counselor is a trusted resource for students and families alike.

Our learning specialist provides academic support and intervention for students who benefit from extra guidance. By working in partnership with teachers and parents, the learning specialist helps ensure each child can access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Wellness is woven into daily life at SSESH. Through intentional routines, age-appropriate conversations, outdoor play, and classroom practices that encourage reflection and self-regulation, students develop the tools they need to care for themselves and others.

We are committed to building a community where every child feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive—inside and outside the classroom.
